Excellence and responsibility: a lasting commitment to quality and sustainability

Quality

Certified quality

Quality standards are closely monitored at all phases of production. From the implementation of specific control measures at every stage of the process to the services and advice provided during development, everything is designed and analysed to ensure the optimum end product. The ISO certification held by Doro since the early 90s is the proof of a long-standing commitment to this desire for perfection.

ISO 9001

This focus on quality also gives Doro a commercial edge in the marketplace. Doro has ISO 9001 version 2015 certification. This certification process driven by COFRAC accredited organisation LQS, guaranteed the quality of processes in place undertaking a thorough analysis of our management system.

C.S.R

Social and corporate responsibility

Doro is now a member of ÉcoVadis, a CSR analysis system based on 21 criteria and 4 themes (Environment, Fair Labour Practices, Ethics/Fair Business Practices, Supply Chain). Its methodology is built on international standards for sustainable development, in particular the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and the ISO 26000 standard. It encompasses 150 sectors of activity and 140 countries.

Through this initiative, Doro intends not only to play its part in addressing the challenges of sustainable development, but also to incorporate in its business model issues such as fair labour practices, respect for human rights, and solidarity sourcing, while also respecting the rules of good governance. This goal will guide our global policy over the coming years.

Wishing to involve itself in a greenhouse gas emission reduction approach, in 2020 Doro became a signing party of the National Pact for Energy Transition, a tool established to encourage and help companies to contribute to the environmental goals defined by Monaco.

Environmental responsibility

A company that cares about protecting our planet, Doro has implemented measures aimed at limiting the environmental impact of its business:

  • Recycling of cardboard waste.
  • Separated collection of ink, varnish and glue.
  • Development of thermal (non-chemical) printing plates.
  • Use of double-deck lorries, whenever possible, for the transport of our cases to limit our carbon footprint.

Since 2018, Doro is a member of CDP, an international not-for-profit charity which evaluate and analyse companies’ environmental data through three questionnaires (climate change, deforestation, and water security). The purpose of this commitment is to identify our environmental impacts to control and reduce them.

Doro and woodland

Already holding FSC® and PEFC certification, DORO is a member, since 2012, of the “Monaco makes a commitment against deforestation” initiative. By signing this charter we are confirming out commitment to fight to preserve forests.

Doro and solar energy

During work taking place on our Carros warehouse, we had the opportunity to consider the possibility of installing photovoltaic panels on the roof. The project finally took shape in conjunction with the company TENERGIE, and today the installation produces 250 kWc.
